A Paver



Brick pavers may be purchased by the public to honor ANY American who has served, or is currently serving in the United States Armed Services. The Veteran NEED NOT be a resident of Jeffersontown or the State of Kentucky to purchase a paver.

Inscription brick orders MUST be received by April 1st of each year to be installed before Memorial Day. They MUST be received by September 1st to be installed before Veterans Day.

The current cost of a 4"x 8" brick, with 3 lines of inscription (14 character maximum, including spaces) is $50. All proceeds go to the Jeffersontown Veterans Memorial Park, to be used for future paver and memorial expansion in the park and to support Veteran's causes and issues.

Regarding Inscriptions


examples of inscriptionsEach 4" x 8" brick has 3 lines of inscription, with 14 characters MAXIMUM per line (including spaces).
The first line consists of the veteran's name. The second line is the branch of service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard) and rank, rate or unit (if space allows). Abbreviations are recommended. The third line lists the years of service (War Service and, or Ship Service may be included if space allows.) If the person is still serving, just list the date service began.

The following symbols will be inscribed on the bricks to denote Death Due to Service, Wounded in Action, Prisoner of War, Missing in Action.
Symbols to denote Death Due To Service, Wounded In Action, POW or MIA.
Symbols will be added by the engraver, do not include in the 14 character line.
